Scholarships

The Heartland Faithful Scholarship Program is designed to ensure that no one misses the opportunity to attend the Walk to Emmaus due to financial concerns.

There are three ways you can participate in the program.

* You can donate to the fund. This is the preferred method of participation. We accept cash, checks, and would even figure out a wire transfer or PayPal if you desire. This is one way you can give back to the community and help others attend.

* You can request a scholarship to attend a Walk for the first time.
To do this, speak to your sponsor. They'll handle the details for you.

* You can request a scholarship to attend a Walk as a Team member.
To do this, speak to the Lay Director of your Walk. He/she will work with you in making the arrangements.

*** Special note for Sponsors and Team Members ***

When considering the process of funding someone's Walk, please take the following steps.

1) Ask the individual (or yourself) if they can cover a portion of the Walk. If they even commit to $10/month, that can cover a significant portion of the cost of the Walk.

2) Talk to your Group Reunion. As a group, most will be more than willing to partially or fully fund someone's Walk.

3) Talk to your Pastor. Most churches have a fund or would be willing to contribute toward someone's Walk.

4) Talk to either the Lay Director for the Walk, or the Community Lay Director (they can be reached at the following email addresses:
mens.LD@HeartlandFaithful.org
womens.LD@HeartlandFaithful.org
community.LD@HeartlandFaithful.org

These steps will help maximize our funds ensuring more people can attend a Walk.
